Student Relationships Over the last few weeks there have been several incidents with the students, both girls and boys, not treating each other respectfully.
Please talk to your student about how to use their words to describe how they are feeling. It is important that all students feel safe and secure in our school so that learning can occur. For girls, the following books was recommend: "The Feelings Book" by Dr. Lynda Madison from American Girl publishing. ISBN 978-1-60958-183-1. I have also read Frenemies: What to Do When Friends Turn Mean by Hayley DiMarco. For both boys and girls, reading The 5 Love Languages and doing the quiz - is helpful for all relationships within a family and with friends. http://www.5lovelanguages.com/ |
